Medical Grade Resins Overview
ZEONEX® 5000, ZEONEX® 690R, ZEONEX® 790R, ZEONOR® 1020R have been assessed for compliance with USP Class VI <87>, <88> and <661.1> , ISO10993, EU 3.1.3 and 3.1.5, and JP 7.02. FDA DMF and more information available upon request.
ZEONEX® 690R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that is suitable for most Pharmaceutical applications. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation, vaporized hydrogen peroxide and steam/autoclave sterilization.
ZEONEX® 790R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin with a high Tg (161.7 °C), optimal for higher temperature applications. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation, vaporized hydrogen peroxide and steam/autoclave sterilization.
ZEONOR® 1020R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that has a low Tg and high elongation at break. Suitable for applications requiring liquid nitrogen storage due to increased flexibility. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization.
ZEONEX® 5000
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin suitable for high pressure injection molding and/or applications that require more flexibility and mechanical strength. Suitable for applications requiring cold temperature storage down to -194 °C due to increased flexibility. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization.
Diagnostic grade resins overview
ZEONOR® 1020R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that has a low Tg and high elongation at break. Suitable for applications requiring liquid nitrogen storage due to increased flexibility. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization.
ZEONOR® 1060R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin with a high flow rate for ease of molding. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization.
ZEONOR® 1420R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that is the most common grade for Life Sciences and Diagnostics consumables. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation, vaporized hydrogen peroxide and steam/autoclave sterilization.
ZEONOR® 1430R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that has lower molecular weight for improved flow during molding. Compatible with EtO, Gamma irradiation, vaporized hydrogen peroxide and steam/autoclave sterilization.
Optical Grade Resins Overview
ZEONEX® K26R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin that has a very high melt flow rate (MFR = 52 g/min), optimal for micro lens applications. Suitable for mobile phone, AR/VR and security camera lenses due to the low birefringence and low haze.
ZEONEX® K22R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin with superior optical properties of high transmittance and low haze. Suitable for both injection molding and diamond turning. Frequently used for mobile phone and automotive camera lenses.
ZEONEX® T62R
Cyclo Olefin Polymer resin with high Tg (154 °C) for applications with high heat requirements. Exhibits stable optical performance and mechanical properties at 125 and 135 °C accelerated aging tests. Optimal injection molding grade for automotive ADAS lenses.
ZEONEX® 360R
Optical grade of Cyclo Olefin Polymer that has excellent resistance to Blu-ray (405 nm) and low birefringence.
ZeonorFilm®
Isotropic, low birefrigence optical grade Cyclo Olefin Polymer (COP) film with superior optical properties. Commonly used in polarizer and touch sensor constructions for smart phones, tablets, and TVs.
